I first heard snippets of this song when I watched "Shall We Dance", starring Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez and Susan Sarandon.
I love John's newly-discovered passion for dance. I love Paulina's ice-cold attitude towards pretty much everything and everyone (suppressing this fire she has within her heart). I love the relationship John has with Beverly.
There was this scene in the kitchen after Beverly found out John's new passion for dance, and why he has never told her all this time.
John said to Beverly this, "The one thing I'm proudest of in my whole life, is you're happy with me. If I couldn't, if I couldn't tell you that I was unhappy sometimes, is because I didn't want risk hurting the one person I treasure most. I'm so sorry."
Love always protects. It never hurts (not intentionally anyway).
Another scene I love was when John surprised Beverly at her workplace (with a red rose) and asked her to dance with him. When she said she doesn't know how to dance, his reply to her was this.
"You've been dancing with me for 19 years."
This absolutely melts my heart. I want my book of love.
