One Friend Less At Workplace.

Was shocked to hear from Nicole today that Lois has resigned. Man, there goes another friend of mine at my workplace. Realised that I do not really have that many a friend at my workplace to begin with. A sad thing really, considering my kind of personality who needs to interact with people. Feels suffocating at times when I do not have someone to talk to. Sighz....

Keeping myself occupied with books/newspapers/magazines during lunchtimes now. Not too bad actually. Relaxes me and I have grown to enjoy the silence of my workplace during lunch hour. At the same time, I get to read, which is a rare opportunity. Somehow, I reckon the busy lifestyle of most Singaporeans (including myself) does not actually give us the priviledge to read leisurely.....

Was reading the papers yesterday at a little corner of Coffee Bean while waiting for Angie to join me. It was raining heavily and I remember staring out through the glass window, breathing in the sweet aroma of rich coffee beans and watching people rush me by. It was a nice feeling. Y'know, taking a step back on your busy life and juz watching the rest of the world passes you by.

Sometimes, I wonder. What do people rush for? What do I rush for? Day in, day out, we are always rushing. Rushing for work. Rushing for deadlines. Rushing for lunch. Rushing for home. Rushing to bed early so we can start the meaningless cycle all over again the next day. What is the point? I wonder.....

Life ain't all about work. Life is definitely not about rushing through your days in a meaningless routine. Life is for enjoyment. Life is meant to be lived, and not to be endured.

Live Life. Never Endure Life.

Reckon I'll drop by Coffee Bean again tomorrow after work for another "me" session. It's therapeutic!!! hehe...
