Fire Drill @ Work

Had a fire drill in office this morning. Interesting, since it’s my first time encountering a fire drill in the corporate working environment.

The entire building was evacuated to the carpark area outside the block. When we gathered there, there’s this fire instructor giving instructions and couple of others lighting fires beside him. Reminds me of the good old kiddy days when we kids gotta line up in twos and follow the teacher to the grass patch area for head count. Ah….fond memories.

After a string of instructions, the fire instructor invited us to have a try at the fire extinguishers. Couple of guys from my company had a go at extinguishing fires with the extinguisher. Kinda amusing watching them – Heroes in action. Now THIS was something we never got invited to do back in those primary school days. Reckon there’ll be riots if us kids were given the chance to ‘play’ with the extinguishers. *grinz*

By the time all of us returned back to the office, the entire morning was almost gone. What a way to take a break…..
